Rose Warner Coliseum

St. Paul, MN
Story by Angie M

As a girl, my only and biggest dream was to own a horse of my own, so my annual visit to the Coliseum at the Minnesota State Fair was a chance to imagine that dream was a reality. Watching the equestrians compete, smelling the barn smells, and staring at all of the horses being led into and out of the building allowed me to fully immerse myself in the world of horses for a few hours. Stepping into the building transported me to another reality. Even today, my top priority on my yearly fair visits is to wander through the Coliseum and horse barns. I’m still working on making my childhood dream a reality.
