When I think of a building that has shaped my life in MN, I think of the many events and performances that went on in the Hibbing High School Auditorium.  This space became a staple during my high school days whether it was all school assemblies, prom grand marches, or band concerts performed both by me and by the University of Minnesota Marching Band.  It was after the UofM “Pride of Minnesota” performed here that I knew I needed to continue my passion for music.  I knew I wanted to stay in MN and join the UofM Marching Band, so I ended up changing what I wanted to do as a career path just so I could continue being a “band dork” 😊  Once at the UofM, the other buildings/spaces that held so much meaning to me were the old Bierman Field practice lot and the old Northrop Auditorium.  Unfortunately neither of these spaces remain, but  countless hours were spent here during my time in the Marching Band rehearsing and making life long friendships.
