As a PhD astrophysicist now, my love of astronomy started right here at 10 years old. It was the first place I learned that the stars in the sky can actually explode. That blew my mind, and from then on I made it my mission to read and watch every book or video on astronomy I could find. I remember walking out of the theater vowing to be an astrophysicist when I grew up. Flash forward several decades and now I’m a researcher on clusters of galaxies at the University of California, Irvine.
